LIVE YOUTUBE: Homeschooled: But don’t know how to ‘adult.’

There is a new terminology out there called ‘adulting.’

Who knew that ‘adult’ was a verb or could be used as a verb?

Anyhoo….

How many homeschooled children do you know (may your own – Ha!) that aren’t ready to enter into adulthood?

From day to day and from year to year…..we are busy and focused on academics for our students. Sometimes this focus also brings failure to focus on life skills and basic things that will otherwise prepare our students for life.

Our conversation today covers some important things you will want to make sure you cover over the course of your homeschooling that will get your students ready for entering into ‘adulting.’

The list within the video is by no means exhaustive…..so share your thoughts and additions to the list.

Homeschooling In SC: Educational Records Shall Be Maintained by Parent-Teacher

Under Option 3 law there are pertinent records that each parent-teacher must maintain.

Today we discuss ONE of the THREE required things that each parent-teacher must maintain.

NOTE: **OTHER OPTION 3 ACCOUNTABILITY ASSOCIATIONS MAY REQUIRE OVER AND ABOVE THE LAW. SO BE SURE TO ALWAYS CHECK WITH YOUR ACCOUNTABILITY ASSOCIATION.**

Take 10 minutes of you day and be informed about maintaining records in your Option 3 homeschooling with UCHU-AA.

If you haven’t go over to YouTube and subscribe to UCHU’s Channel: Angela Jordan Perry – UCHU.

Thanks!

Did you know? …… Homeschool Work Credit

Did you know that students can earn *credit* for:

*volunteer work hours

*internship

*paid employment

*apprenticeships

*and other types of work completed

To keep track of hours worked that you would like to count as credit towards a diploma. In order for these work hours to count they must be documented.

According to SCDE Regulations, 306 work hours = 1 credit.

UCHU-Accountability Association has provided a Student Employment Work Sheet  (click the link to go to that form) that may be used to help students keep track and receive verification of work hours by their immediate overseer/supervisor.

If you should have further questions regarding this subject feel free to contact me.
