Girlfriends’ Guide to Homeschooling: Am I being punished for having a special needs homeschooler?

If you aren’t aware an additional resource that I have for the homeschooling community around the globe is a YouTube channel and FB page for Homeschooling Girlfriends.

Girlfriends’ Guide to Homeschooling!

Topics center around generic concerns, information and insights as it pertains to homeschooling in general.

Oh my dear Homeschooling Girlfriend……. we can talk on a lot of subjects that are near and dear to our hearts and still have a long list to go. Can’t we?

This week our subject takes us back to special needs homeschooling.

Capture

No one understands more than a homeschooling Momma the challenges, hoops to jump through and the pushback one gets when homeschooling a special needs child. It can make you feel ask if ‘society’ and the systems that are in place are punishing you and your child just because they have a special needs.

Well…..let’s talk about this!

Racist Homeschooling (Part 5- Finale): Why it’s important to remain a racist homeschooler. Practical steps to continue to do so. (YouTube video)

Well…..if you thought I was passionate about this subject of *racism* well….you will be in shock with today’s recording!

As the finale on Racist Homeschooling please join me, dialog with me, see with me, brainstorm with me on this subject and let’s get down to the root of racism within our homeschooling.

Ignoring *it* (racism within our homeschooling communities) as if it doesn’t exist isn’t gonna. help. no. body!! Nor help anything.

Taking note, dialoging and dealing with the elephant in our homeschool rooms is where it start. And if you don’t agree……well. That’s fine.

Those who do agree….let’s talk. 🙂

I’ll even meet you over coffee or tea if you desire…Girlfriend!

(Please share on your social media pages with other homeschoolers that you consider your family, friends and foe. They JUST may need to hear this subject matter.)

Racist Homeschooling (Part 4): What real **Anti** racism looks like. (YouTube video)

As I embarked on the subject matter of Racist Homeschooling I NEVER imagined the reactions that would come from it.

Some cheered me on. Positive comments from those all over the world.

Yet others….not so much. The words of anger, meanness and right down superiority have radiated throughout. 😦

I knew some reaction would come but just wasn’t sure what it would be.

In honesty, I try to be sensitive to what I feel my Lord would have me speak on and in the way in which I do so.

My greatest prayer is that in my honesty, sharing the truth as I live it and reality that is in our homeschool society, I’ve honored the will of the Lord in this.

Lord and racism. How can these oxymorons be in the same sentence? Great question.

That just let’s you know how ugly one word is (racism) and how the other so beautiful (Lord).

However, this is the ugly we live in day in and day out even within homeschooling!

However…again, it will not be dealt with if never ever spoken about.

The video is not to make fun of the subject. But it’s to show the weirdness that often comes with not realizing that we all are HUMANS who homeschool!

There shouldn’t be anything uniquely different about this communication and connecting among different races.

But in my homeschooling world and many other’s homeschooling world….. the connecting is something left to be desired.

#KeepTrying

Enjoy Part 4 of this five part series.

(Share on your social media page. Share with a friend, family or foe that is homeschooling. Let’s get rid of the homeschooling racism. Oh…that’s the next video)
