Homeschooling under Option 3 in South Carolina comes with LOTS of wonderful freedoms.
One of yhe many freedoms is…..
Freedom to start your homeschool day whenever you want.
We are often accustomed to starting the school day as if we are in public school.
Rising at 6 am then dress, eat and be ready for school by 7 am or 8 am. Finishing the day around 3 pm or 4 pm.
What if you are not a morning person?
What if your students are not morning people?
What if one child is a morning person and the others aren’t?
What if you work in the morning or day time?
Well, to sum all of these concerning questions up in one answer…..
THEN BEGIN YOUR SCHOOL DAY AT THE TIME THAT WORKS BEST FOR YOU AND YOUR FAMILY!!!
Simple. 😊🙌🏾
I had one child who gets her ‘mojo’ at 11 pm or 12 am. So her high school years she begin her school work around that time. The house was quiet. No distractions. And she had plenty of energy. She’d sleep late into the next day but she could do that as a homeschooler.
I know of parents that work during the day hours and have someone provide childcare for her during the day.
Once she is home they eat as a family, bath and then prepare for school work. She’d have that schedule three days a week and then homeschool on Saturday and Sunday which are her off from work days.
The cool thing is that her school time was about 2 to 3 hours long and all work was completed!!
What freedom?
