It’s the end of June, and my time as a blog writer is coming to an end (at least temporarily). I have enjoyed writing to you guys each week sharing the things that have come into my heart.
I won’t lie. It has been a challenge juggling all my mommy/wifey duties and doing this each week. However, it has been such a pleasure to have the chance to do something I love…something I miss.
Thank you all for reading or commenting on my posts. I really pray that something was shared this past year that sincerely blessed you.
This has been a year of many challenges, changes, and unique opportunities for all of us. We have seen things change in ways we never thought we’d see. We have had to change the way we look at the world and question if things will ever be the same again.
As we move into the last part of this year, I pray that you all can find peace and joy in your homes and most importantly with your families. I had the chance to spend a recent Friday night out and about with my hubby and children, and we had a fabulous time.
We drove to an Amish restaurant about 40 minutes away and had one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. Our little ones were good (for their ages lol) which made the meal even more enjoyable.
On our way back, we ran across a special little hidden gem which is very unique to South Carolina. We stopped at a place I read about in an article a year or two ago. It’s called God’s Acre Healing Springs. We spent some time learning the history of the Springs, tasted the water, and enjoyed the fireflies at dusk.
We didn’t go far away or do anything expensive. We didn’t have to plan a huge road trip or anything like that. We just spent time together enjoying each other’s company.
That’s what the remainder of this year needs to be for all of us. It needs to be a time filled with reinforcing family bonds and making positive meaningful connections. Just making the most of the time we have together right now.
We don’t have to run to sandy beaches across the world or visit cities full of strangers to have a good time. If all you have is your family, a picnic lunch, or a local attraction, you already have more than enough.
“Jehovah bless thee and keep thee;
Jehovah cause His face to shine upon thee, and favour thee;
Jehovah lift up His countenance upon thee, and appoint for thee — peace.
And they have put My name upon the sons of Israel, and I — I do bless them.”

I’m most importantly a follower of Christ by who’s blood we believe there is salvation. We believe in biblical Truth only. Being led by the Spirit of God, we seek to raise our family by that Truth. I am a wife of 8 years, and mom to 8 wonderful children ages 7 years-1 year. We have been homeschooling for 2 years officially (7 if you include preschool). I enjoy music, gardening, and learning to live a healthy, non-toxic lifestyle.
