Messy Monday: Batik Fabric with Crayons

This is so super cool!!!

I used the word *freakin* when I described it to my husband and I DON’T EVEN USE THAT WORD. I guess that expresses how cool I think this weeks Messy Monday fun day project is. :/ ย  or ๐Ÿ™‚

I hope to do this with my children with my *non-crafy* self.

Some supplies will have to be purchased and sadly some crayons sacrificed. But

But I do think you will like the end results!! Please share pics if you decide to complete this Messy Monday’s project.

Ok… are the instructions >>>>> Batik Fabric with Crayonsย <<<< Click on <<< that blue hyper link to get directed to the instructions.

Messy Monday: The Day I got Trapped in a Snow Globe

How about……

A Christmas craft AND a writing activity?

This is a great idea.

Basically take a pic of your children. You can laminate it or not.

Get a clear cock-tail drinking cup.

Cut out a circle card board to glue to the rim of the cup

Add in some fake Christmas snow

Tap the bottom of the picture to the circular cardboard rim before gluing the rim onto the cup

As for the creative writing assignment, have your children write about “The Day I got Trapped in a Snow Globe.” Let the imagination soar as they write the tale of that eventful and memorable day of getting trapped in their snow globe. They can use their finished project for inspiration.

Messy Monday: Draw your Hand in 3D

If anyone is disappointed that today’s Messy Monday project for our homeschool students isn’t……well…….messy, please except my earnest apologies.

This was TOO COOL TO PASS UP!!!!

I do believe this is a fun and simple project that all of our students will be amazed by.

I know I am!! ๐Ÿ™‚

Messy Monday: Oreo Phases of the Moon

Sitting her in my hotel room while at the Florida Parents Educators Association Special Need Conference…….I’m hungry! Just ran three miles in the gym and my tank is now onย Empty!

As I see this project I think it’s a GREAT idea…….because….(like I said) I. am. hungry.!!!

However, I think that this is going to be a great project (though not a messy one on this Messy Monday).

Great way to enjoy a snack. Learn about the different phases of the moon. And do something fun – with their hands! ๐Ÿ™‚ (and mouths) (Wish I could be eat something.)

Messy Monday: Rainbow Lemon Eruption Salt Tray

Here is Monday yet again ๐Ÿ™‚

And it’s time to put our efforts towards creating some fun yet messy works of art with our homeschooling children.

I think the older students and younger alike will enjoy this project! ๐Ÿ™‚

This will allow you and your students to explore components that “fizz” together. You’ll even be able to introduce some new vocabulary such as ‘acids and bases.’

After gathering our materials we will certainly be giving this “Messy Monday” project a try.

Messy Monday: Snow Slime

We live in the mountains and we had just a little snow on Saturday, November 1, 2014. We woke up to the mountain tops covered with snow.

But just in case we don’t see any more snow this fall/winter, here is some you can make and sure to be a fun and MESSY hit! Although I’m sure we will see more.

Snow Slime!!!

Share pics once you and your homeschool crew has successfully made this. ๐Ÿ™‚
