Do you have a child who never gives up on a task until they complete it?
Does your child ask questions to ensure that he or she understands the instructions before he completes a task?
My oldest son is thirteen years old, and he does not give up on a task until he accomplishes it. I observed him doing this today.
For English, he has to write a persuasive essay to submit for a grade. He has written the rough draft and read it aloud to his Dad.
After reading it to his Dad, my son was informed that he needs to add additional details to explain his topic further.
My son begins proofreading his essay and adding the suggestions that his Dad gave him.
Once the suggestions were added, he decided to
retype his persuasive essay again, and he asked me to proofread it for him before printing it.
I proofread it for him, but his Dad will proofread again to ensure that I did not miss any grammar or spelling mistakes.
My son knows that hard work pays off; therefore, he is willing to receive critiques from his Dad and me.
Because he never gives up, he will continue to work on his essay until it is done correctly.
He will receive a grade that displays his dedication and hard work.
Do you have a child who works hard to correct his or her academic subjects to ensure that he or she receives the grade that they deserve?
Does your child come to you for guidance when completing a writing assignment?
