My Amazing Renaissance Man Has Done It Again!!!

Last week, I wrote an article about my amazing Renaissance Man designing and building a hanging bar for our home. It looks absolutely amazing.

Well, my Renaissance Man is at it again. This week, he is building a hanging pot rack for our home.

Well, this weekend he had an opportunity to research, design, and build a pot rack for his new cookware.

First, my husband begins with researching different designs to use or create his own idea to build his hanging pot rack; also, the materials and tools he may need because he always says “you can build anything as long as you have the right tools”.

Secondly, he starts by determining a design for his project.

Third, he decides on a specific day to purchase the materials and build his hanging pot rack.

He is very focused on the task at hand, and he continues until the project is complete. You know he’s at the finish line when he begins to finish the build with paint or stain, in this case he did both. He painted the hooks and chains but he stained the wood with a dark walnut; also, I need to mention the antique style corner brackets attached on the edges.

My Renaissance Man is very detail orientated, and it is shows in his craftsmanship. I am always amazed at the many talents that my husband displays in his work.

Did my husband build the hanging pot rack by himself?

Of course not, our youngest son decided to assist his dad with building the hanging pot rack.

Just like last weekend, my youngest son had an opportunity to spend one-on-one quality time with his Dad, and he had a chance to learn how to use different power tools with adult supervision of course.

Not only did our youngest son learn how to use power tools, he learned a variable lesson on how to research, design, and build it himself because it allows him an opportunity to save money and take pride in what he builds.

My husband’s hanging pot rack is beautiful, and he has an opportunity to hang his new pots.
