I could make this week’s blog about all the chaotic, uncertain, pandemic mess going on in our world right now. BUT I won’t. I can’t tell you how I hate the fear mongering media and “all but truth telling” government divisions that have so many scared that we all are going to die at any moment. It bothers me, but I choose to look beyond the bleak to see the better.
First, please for your own sanity and peace of mind turn off the television! Everyday the news is looking to increase their viewership. How do they do that? They do it by offering the most dramatic, the most sensational, and most outlandish stories. So, calming your fears and easing your mind is not a priority of any media outlet. For a few days, let the tv, YouTube, and social media rest.
Let’s shake off all the pandemic blues and get to some semblance of normalcy. Let’s do what we can to preserve our relationships and our sanity. So what do you do? Here’s a few things to help you get through the thick of this.
You can make sure to go outside and get some sun for a few minutes everyday. Just getting some sunshine and fresh air will lift your spirits immediately. Take time with your spouse and little ones and play games, read together, or talk. You can use essential oils to help keep your spirits up (try citrus or peppermint) or calm you down (try lavender). Also, try meditating (on the Word of God or your own peaceful thoughts).
There’s so many things to do while we are on “lock down”. Just don’t sit in front of the tv and drive yourself scared and crazy. Get out in the yard and play with the family or fix a meal with the little ones. Just don’t spend the next few weeks living in fear.

I’m most importantly a follower of Christ by who’s blood we believe there is salvation. We believe in biblical Truth only. Being led by the Spirit of God, we seek to raise our family by that Truth. I am a wife of 8 years, and mom to 8 wonderful children ages 6 years-1 year. We have been homeschooling for 2 years officially (7 if you include preschool). I enjoy music, gardening, and learning to live a healthy, non-toxic lifestyle.
