My husband and I have been married for a total of fifteen years, and he continues to amaze me every day. He is a Renaissance Man.
What is a Renaissance Man?
A Renaissance Man is a man who “displays his talents in all fields”. By day, he is a Human Senior Resource Specialist, a father, and husband, on the weekend, he continues to perform all of these roles, but he becomes a craftsman of building many things.
This weekend, he made a hanging bar for our home.
First, he researched how he would design; make modification to meet his vision.
Next, he begins collecting the material and supplies that he needed to make the bar.
Last, I watch him as he begins building the bar.
While my husband was constructing the bar, I had an opportunity to observe and record him making the bar for our home. This was amazing to me because I was able to see
the step-by-step process.
Also, I had an opportunity to observe my husband building the bar with love. It was shown in his attention to details and his patience to continue the process until it was complete.
My husband wears a variety of hats on a daily basis, but I always enjoy watching him design and build wood projects.
Did my Renaissance Man receive any assistance?
Yes, although my husband enjoys building items for our home, he enjoys showing and allowing our two sons to experience building a project by hand for themselves.
They are not at the experience level of their father, but this is an opportunity for our sons to learn something new and to spend quality time with their father.
This was my weekend.
