Do you have any family traditions?
Today is a day to appreciate being a parent.
You have an individual who always look up to you for guidance and advice on everything.
There is not a book to explain every thing that your child will experience or how to successfully navigate life.
As a parent, I make daily mistakes when it comes to parenting, but I do have an opportunity the next day to learn from my mistakes and improve on them.
I realize that I am not
perfect, and I inform my two sons that everyone makes mistakes. No one is perfect.
It is important to recognize mistakes are made, but it is important to acknowledge the mistake and not repeat the same mistake twice, correction, try not to repeat the same mistake twice because I sometimes find myself frustrated over the same scenario of something my two sons did with little effort or did not take the initiative without reminders.
What does Motherhood look like to me?
It is loving my children unconditional (through the good and bad times). It is being in my children lives and spending quality time with them.
Also, Motherhood is taking vacations and making lifetime memories as a family.
Motherhood is having family discussions that maybe result a lot laughter or emotional tears; also, motherhood include experiencing or exploring my childrens’ world by enjoying things that are entertaining to them, but let me now say, “entertaining to us”.
Do I enjoy being a Mom?
Yes, I do. I have always wanted a family with about three kids. However, I am blessed with an awesome husband and two amazing sons who love me unconditionally.
I am thankful for my family.
I am proud to call myself their Mom.
There is nothing that I would not do for my family.
