When it comes to celebrating important milestones in your life, what are some ways that you celebrate?
Do you have a favorite location that you visit? Is it a couple’s getaway or a family trip?
My husband and I celebrated our fifteen year wedding anniversay on October 7, 2020.
We decided to spend our anniversary getaway at Barnwell State Park. He reserved a cabin for us.
When we arrived, there were signs informing us of the location of: the office, the cabins, campground etc. The signs were very helpful with it being our first time at this location.
The sign for Barnwell Sate Park is located across the road from the entrance. If you are not looking left or right, you could probably miss it.
Also, the office has signs informing visitors to follow the COVID-19 guidelines of social distance.
When we entered our cabin, there were
Clorox wipes available to clean surfaces and hand sanitizer too. I was completely happy about this. Although, I travel with disinfectant supplies wherever I go.
I was completely amazed at the cabin amenities. Outside the cabins consists of: a firepit with three chairs made from wood, a grill designated especially for the cabin, a front porch with sitting, and fishing lake nearby for the individuals whom enjoy fishing. Boats are available to rent $15 per day. In my opinion, this is a great price. My husband and I had a great time on the the boat that we rented for the day from Barnwell State Park.
In addition, the office sells firewood for $6.00 for the fire pit located outside of the cabin. There is a playground and restrooms located near the office for children to enjoy while they are staying at the campground or in the cabin.
Besides selling logs for the firepit, the office have mugs and t-shirts available for sale too.
My husband and I had an amazing time. I highly recommend Barnwell State Park. We will return to Barnwell State Park with our sons next time for a family getaway.
