Who Doesn’t Love a Good Sale?

I’m so excited to share this post. I’ve literally been waiting about two months to share this with you. This is an opportunity you don’t want to miss! It’s the biggest, best book sale I’ve every attended. It’s Scholastic’s Warehouse Book Sale!

The website calls the sale a “Customer Appreciation Sale”. I think it’s a “let’s clear the warehouse and make room for new books” sale lol. Whatever you want to call it, it will stock your bookshelves and make your wallets happy.

I had the chance to experience this sale last year, and I was blown away by all the great books we purchased. We bought lots of fun fiction and nonfiction books to fill our bookshelves. I’m not talking about old, busted books or titles that are out of date. These were current year titles that were perfect fits for our homeschool.

The sale I attended was at the warehouse in Lexington, SC. One great feature of this sale was buy one get one free and build-a-box. Buy one get one free pretty much speaks for itself. All items were available at the lowest labeled price with the option of getting a second title free. (Note: Many titles were already marked down prior to the sale.)

Then they had a section loaded with a variety of titles. This section was called build-a-box. You fill or “build” a box with titles from that section. Then to my surprise I was able to fill not just one but two boxes for the price of one because of the bogo deal. So we got two boxes of new books for about $30. I think my grand total was about $130 for approximately $400 worth of products (conservative estimates).

Here’s a few titles we picked up at last year’s sale:

A few things to remember. You want to make sure you have enough time to browse all the items. So give yourself at least two hours (three if you have to peruse every aisle like me). The aisles are labeled by grade level and subject at least. However, nothing is perfect and things may get out of place. There will be volunteers, outside contractors and warehouse workers there so as always keep a close eye on your little ones. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes, and just have fun.

There are two sales in our state this year: one in Lexington, SC (December 4-14, 2019) and Greenville, SC (December 3-4, 2019). There’s also a sale in Charlotte for those who may live close to NC. Each sale is different so please find the page and read the information about the sale you plan to attend.

DON”T FORGET TO REGISTER ONLINE! You can register here. Simply find the sale you hope to attend, click on the link, and fill in your information. (Note: You most likely won’t find your homeschool in the list given. So just fill in what you can and submit.) You will get a confirmation email with a $10 coupon once you register.

I hope and pray that you all will take the time to check out one of these sales this year. This sale is a book lovers dream. Take the kids and make it a day of learning and exploring. You’ll be so sorry if you miss it.

I’m most importantly a follower of Christ by who’s blood we believe there is salvation. We believe in biblical Truth only. Being led by the Spirit of God, we seek to raise our family by that Truth. I am a wife of 7 years, and mom to 8 wonderful children ages 6 years-9 months. We have been homeschooling for 2 years officially (6 if you include preschool). I enjoy music, gardening, and learning to live a healthy, non-toxic lifestyle.
