Thought Provoking Thursday: Encouraging Your Child

The meaning of ENCOURAGEMENT according to the online Oxford dictionary is:

the action of giving someone support, confidence, or hope.”

The various synonyms for encouragement are: 

heartening, cheering up, inspiration, motivation, stimulation, fortification,support, morale-boosting, a boost, a shot in the arm, persuasion,coaxing, urging, pep talk, pressure, prodding, prompting, spur, goad,inducement, incentive, bait, motive, carrot, support, backing,championship, championing, sponsoring, promotion, furtherance,furthering, fostering, nurture, cultivation, help, assistance, boosterism

At any rate………….

I know I don’t do a lot of encouraging.

Not as much as I could possibly do.

This post caused me to think on the power of encouragement AND HOW MUCH MORE I need to do that with me children.


I know that there is power in the tongue. Power to speak life or death.

Life is so much more nicer! 🙂 And *gooder.* 🙂
