If you have begun your 2020-2021 school year, I hope that it is off to a great start. I have not begun my 2020-2021 school year, I am in the purchasing curriculum and planning process stages.
This year, I decided to continue with combining my sons’ history and science. In other words, I use one curriculum for history to teach both of my sons’.
Also, I use one science curriculum to teach both them. I started this about two years ago. My sons love it!!!
I like it too because it saves me money on having to purchase an individual science and history curriculum for both of them.

Since both of my sons use the same science and history curriculum, I have to purchase one additional book
for each subject. There is something about seeing the excitement in their eyes when they enjoy learning a subject together and playing games to review the information that they have learned.
On the other hand, I am in my planning process on deciding the number of days for school. I have to factor in dental and doctor appointments into my school schedule. I am deciding whether to have a four day or five day school week.
I am aiming towards five days to ensure that my children have an opportunity to learn, understand, and apply the information.
I found out last year, I needed to add daily reviews to every subject to assist my children in recalling the information that they learned the day before.
Am I the only parent, whose children forget the information that they learned *just* the day before?
Also, I am adjusting the number of weeks for homeschooling from 36 because I have to factor in family vacation and catch-up days if someone gets sick in the family.
2020-2021 planning will take on a totally different approach this year. I am looking forward to the challenge and an exciting but interesting school year.
How about you?
In addition, along with purchasing curriculum and planning my school year, I began working on shirt designs. As a result, Unlimited Custom Designs was created.
Unlimited Customs Designs (UCD) is my online store where I will sell a variety of customized shirts for the entire family. My customized shirts are available to purchase now.
