Game Master Not, Did It Again!!!

As a mother, I am always happy to see a smile on my children faces. Whether it is during school or doing something that they enjoy doing, I had an opportunity last night to observe a beautiful smile from my youngest son Tyson also known as Game Master Not.

If this is your first time reading my blog, my youngest son is an inspiring chef. He enjoys learning culinary skills from his self-taught father Tim known as Timmi Tim. He checks out children cookbooks from the library, and he purchases cookbooks from local stores. Anything about cooking, he wants to learn about it.

Here is a little background about my youngest son.

My youngest son is only ten years old. He enjoys cooking with his father and myself. He learns to prepare and cook savory and dessert meals from his father. Along with learning and cooking with his father, he enjoys baking with me. I instruct my son on how to prepare plant based (vegan) desserts that the entire family can enjoy. In my opinion, this will prepare him with an opportunity to prepare a variety of meals and cater to every individual’s lifestyle.

Back to the topic, my son and I went to the Dollar Tree yesterday. He found

a slow cooker cookbook with poultry dishes and plant-based dishes too. He said, “Mom, I can prepare my meals, and I prepare dinner for you and Dad too”. Can you say proud Mom? I truly am. <smile>

On the commute home, my son was looking throughout the book. He noticed a chicken recipe titled Old Time Chicken and Vegetables with Noodles that he would like to prepare for his dinner.

Once we arrived home, he washed his hands and begin gathering the ingredients and the cooking utensils that he needed to prepare the dish.

I would like to add that he prepared this dish in the Instant Pot using the Pressure Cook setting.

He asked his Dad for some seasoning suggestions, and it took his dish to another level.

The dish turned out amazing. My son told me so, and he went back for seconds. He made enough to have lunch for the next day.

My husband and I are very proud of my son for learning about different ways to prepare a variety of savory and sweet dishes, working hard to prepare his own dish, and learning the skills that he needs to improve his cooking.

Have a great day!!!!
