2020 pandemic came out of the blue and affected all of our lives in more ways I am able to describe.
Many of us contracted the virus.
Many of us ‘sadly and unfortunately’ lost people we know and love during this pandemic.
Many of us watched are still watching those we know and love wrestle the affects of the pandemic.
Many of us ‘lost employment/wages’ during this pandemic.
Many of us were unable to see family members or our community of dear friends during this pandemic.
The list goes on.
One thing that wasn’t greatly affected (unless we ourselves were ill) was our ability to HOME EDUCATE OUR CHILDREN!!!
Day in and day out, weekly, monthly and now over a year our children REMAINED IN THEIR STUDIES.
Simply and shortly stated……. the pandemic didn’t affect HOMESCHOOLING much at all!!!
Ok…..it affected our ability to socialize. But then we discovered we can socialize virtually.
Ok….it affected our ability to go on fieldtrips. But then we went on adventures virtually.
Ok… it affected our ability to ….. well, I don’t know what else. But we found ways around it. ((smile))
But academically…… we all kept marching forward.
So….. to homeschool during the pandemic for many families was an AMAZING CHOICE.
Yay for freedom of choice.
AN AMAZING PRIVILEGE.
AN AMAZING OPPORTUNITY.
AN AMAZING SAFETY ZONE.
