Do you grow your vegetables or fruits?
Do you purchase your vegetables or fruits from the local supermarket?
Do you have a garden?
If yes, what vegetables are you growing?
Do you keep the vegetables for your family? or Do you sell the vegetables at a local market?
My husband is the farmer in my family. He enjoys having a garden every year.
One of his favorite relaxing things to do is to plant his vegetables and fruit trees in our garden.
This year, he is growing a variety of vegetables and fruit like: eggplant, squash, hot and mild peppers, cauliflower, green bell peppers, peas, ice box watermelon, and he planted three plum trees.
Our garden looks amazing with everything sprouting. One vegetable in particular has caught my eye, it is the eggplant. I have grown to love eating eggplant parmesan. When eggplant is prepared correctly, it tastes so delicious.
Back to the point of the story, the entire garden is beautiful, but the eggplant caught my eye.
I have always wondered how
these vegetables grow.
My husband planted a Japanese eggplant, and it is purple. The flowers are purple too. The plant is absolutely beautiful.
I cannot wait to see the eggplant begin sprouting from the flowers. I am interested in observing how the stem can support the weight of a heavy eggplant hanging from it.
Also, I want to see how big the eggplant can grow before it is picked, prepared, and ready for a meal.
Do we sell our vegetables at a local farmer’s market?
No, I am plant based, and I enjoy every vegetable that my husband plant. We visit our back yard for our vegetables, and we pick only what we can eat.
If our vegetables begin to grow too quickly, we will share our vegetables with our neighbors.
If you have a garden, it saves money on purchasing your fruits and vegetables from the supermarket. The garden is available to pick whatever we want to eat.
