Here there are….. (DRUM ROLL PLEASE!!)

Greetings,

My name is Joy and I am currently a stay at home mom who is home schooling my three kids in South Carolina. I love learning and I love sharing the love of learning with others so getting to home school my kids and watch the “ah ha” moments when they understand something is unbelievably rewarding. I have been homeschooling since my twins were preschool age so we are going on 8 years now. I am also a military spouse so we have the added joy of being a military family with some of the complications that come with it.  As a family we stay busy with our scouting groups, American Heritage Girls and TrailLife, and we do many camping and hiking trips with them. When I have down time, I am typically reading books I have sitting around the house, on YouTube/websites getting more information on different home school programs or working on plans for homeschool. I look forward to being able to share our experiences with everyone and help encourage all homeschooling families.

Hi, I’m Naja. I’m most importantly a follower of Christ by who’s blood we believe there is salvation. We believe in biblical Truth only. Being led by the Spirit of God, we seek to raise our family by that Truth. I am a wife of 7 years to a wonderful man of God and minister of music. We were fortunate enough to be blessed with a quiverful. We have EIGHT wonderful children ranging in age from 6 years old to 6 months. Our family is not only unique because of our numbers. We also have 3 sets of twins. We have been homeschooling since our first child was born 6 years ago. However, this is our second year homeschooling through an association. I’m a Southern girl with homesteading dreams. I’m a gardening enthusiast with little experience. I like to say “I’m learning as I grow.” I’m also new on the pescatarian scene and hope to move beyond to a more healthy lifestyle. I have grown to be more natural-minded, and I am constantly finding ways to create a non-toxic household for me and my family.

Both Joy and Naja will be featured on The Homeschool Upstart Podcast sharing their weekly blogs and chatting it up with me from time to time.

Joy’s blogs will post weekly on Wednesdays on www.UCHUnlimited.com and on The Homeschool Upstart Podcast.

Naja’s blogs will post weekly on Sundays on www.UCHUnlimited.com and on The Homeschool Upstart Podcast.
