Monday’s Message: Yes, You Can! (video)

“I’m terrified at the thought of homeschooling to the end of high school! I can’t do it.”

or

“I’m afraid I’m going to screw up my children’s education. I can’t homeschool.”

I can’t begin to tell you how many times I’ve heard homeschooling Moms/Dads declare that they CAN’T……

The list of CAN’Ts as it relates to homeschooling is numerous. And I think there aren’t any new ones out there to be said. 🙂

What is boils down to is….

Fear of the unknown.

Lack of confidence.

Inability to trust yourself.

Listening to the wrong voices.

Accepting influences that are contrary to your own voice.

At what point are you going to say?, “Yes, I can?”

Have you thought about that possibility?

With anything…….anything there will be a learning curve and adjustment period.

Tell me anything NEW that you have decided to embark upon or experience where you didn’t feel you couldn’t do it?

Initially, you felt you couldn’t do it.

But for whatever reason you persevered and discovered, “Yes, I can!”

and You did!

I personally have to give myself this pep talk. Some days are just those kind of days. When I want to call t quits. But I remember….(fill in the blank)

Next time you encourage your child about something that you know they can do …..beit hard and difficult be sure to give yourself the SAME pep talk when it comes to your thoughts of homeschooling.

Because “Yes, You Can.” You can do anything!!!

You’ll be glad that you did!
