Monday’s Message: Go Get a Job! – South Carolina Child Employment Regulations. (video)

In the past few months I have had quite a few parents ask me about the laws governing students particularly homeschool students and employment.

In today’s blog I hope to answer a few of those questions.

Also, be sure to go visit the *horses mouth* (the website) to see EXACTLY what is okay and what is not!

In this week’s video blog I share just a bit along this subject.

Let me know if you have any further questions or comments.

Keep in mind that your student can earn credit for work experience. Students must document these work hours in order to count them towards their diploma. This is to include any work done as a volunteer, a paid position or as an apprentice. See the link below which is a resource to present to the employer to complete as your student works.

Click HERE to view the documents.

According to SCDE Regulations 306 work hours = 1 credit.
