By nature I am a person who likes a good challenge. I’m sure this is why the Lord continuously calls me to those things that are seemingly *tough* or something only a crazy person would find themselves doing. Ha.
Where other’s say *NO*!
I say *Yes*!
Where I’m told, *It can’t be done*;
I say, *Perhaps it can’t be done apart from the Lord but with HIM, I’m sure it can be done.*
I’m always for the under-dog.
The one that is most likely *Not to succeed*, *Not get ahead*, *Not make friends*, *Not be the ‘show dog’ of the group.*
I’ve always been that way and I’m not quite sure why.
So when it comes to homeschooling, or farming (which our family are farmers yet have never have done before), or raising eight children (or more eventually) or directing an Academy or an Accountability Association………..the challenge drives me on because I get the opportunity to see God perform through me His will as I clearly admit *I can’t do.*
There He says, “But I can.”
I love seeing HIM do it! So LOVE IT!
The Words of Encouragement is that YOU CAN TOO!
If you are in Christ…….. YOU CAN!
If God be for you who can be against you.
Great is He that is in you (if you are a follower of Christ) than he that is in this world.
In your weakness He is strong.
2 Corinthians 12:9 He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Most gladly therefore I will rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest on me.
With anything new, like homeschooling or parenting or marriage or business ownership or presidency or directorship there is always the fear of the unknown.
“What if I fall completely on my face.”
Not sure if that is fear or if it is really *pride.*
Yes, I said pride.
Pride causes us to be *overly concerned* about ourselves and the outcome that will reflect on us.
Hhhmmmmm…. well I will not unpack that topic of *pride* much more here in this post. But it is something to consider.
The words of Encouragement for you today on this Wednesdays Words of Encouragement is that as you step out into a new venture or continue towards the next year of homeschooling or…………. (whatever it may be), don’t walk in fear, don’t walk in pride.
You may find that you may just fly and not fall after all!
Well…..you nor I will never know unless we step out and give it a try. 🙂
Don’t allow ANYONE to talk you out of the possibility of FLYING.
It will be an amazing and beautiful thing when you actually do so.
Fly on!
If you have a friend that is considering homeschooling this coming year or if they are doing something *new* in their lives PLEASE share this post with them. Maybe it will encourage them too.
