Music Across the Ages (3rd-6th grade)

Class Description:
This class is an fun and entertaining exploration of the music, genres, styles, and composers of Western Music from 1580-1800 AD. 3rd-6th grade students will learn about the Gregorian Chant, the beginnings of musical notation, Hildegard von Bingen, madrigals, the beginning of opera, Beethoven, Mozart, Chevalier de Saint-Georges, and MORE! What fun!! Those who love music or history and want to learn more about them in a fun and music-filled way, sign up today!

My name is Noelani Perry and I am a recent college graduate of Belhaven University. My violin pursuits is career in the classical music industry as a professional violinist. Currently, I am a chair member of Mississippi Symphony Orchestra and have been since I was 17 years old. Since the age of four, I have continued to cultivate a love and passion for music –these pursuits creating opportunities in places like St. Petersburg, Russia, and within my immediate community of Jackson, MS.
