There are Three Options to consider in South Carolina when you are preparing to homeschool in South Carolina.
Public Schooling in your home
With an organization name SCAIHS (South Carolina Association of Independnet Homeschoolschoolers). When homeschooling became legal in SC back in the 80s everyone had to join under Option 2. There are a few variances that Option 2 have from Option 3.
Homeschoolers wanted more freedoms to choose their own curriculum, no required testing, etc. etc.
Option 3 became a law.
