At UCHU-STEAM Academy we are bringing the focus of STEAM into homeschooling.

There are so many benefits of having a STEAM program for our children. For those that are normal learners to those who have learning challenges or delayed learning.

“STEAM represents a paradigm shift from traditional education philosophy, based on standardized test scores, to a modern ideal which focuses on valuing the learning process as much as the results. In essence, we dare our students to be wrong, to try multiple ideas, listen to alternate opinions and create a knowledge base that is applicable to real life as opposed to simply an exam.”

STEAM stands for Science. Technology. Engineering. Academics. Mathematics.
The importance of these ares of study is unprecedented and proven for the learning child’s environment.
Over the next few weeks I will take time to share the components of STEAM. What it is vs. What is isn’t.
I’m still grasping my understanding around it as we are implementing this genre of education full into our Academy in the homeschooling year to come. This semester we only touched the surface of a full STEAM academy.
However, if you are interested in joining in at home then start HERE <<<click
You will see the mind of your child begin to open, ask questions, test out things and challenge what is *known.*
If you are still interested in what a STEAM Academy looks like then please consider a visit to our UCHU-STEAM Academy to learn and discover more.
Have fun!
